Karen is a native Oregonian, born in North Portland, raised in SW, and excited to live and work in Portland today. She is licensed in Oregon and Washington state at this time. She graduated from Sunset High School, took a momentary break out of Portland to attend Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, where she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She spent her last term of College cementing long life friendships while on a Study and Service Tour of Central America for six months. As she graduated, Portland called her home, and she began the first of the next 20 plus years in the Mortgage Business. She spent the next 13 years rising within her companies and was Managing Sales and Operations staff across the NW and then all states West of Colorado. After traveling nearly full time for eight years, mostly in California, she consciously decided to work for Consumers directly and leave Executive Management. This allows her to work in Portland and assist buyers and homeowners in OR and WA. Karen brings her energy, motivation, and twenty-plus years of expertise to work for each client. Most importantly, she is a great listener and an exceptional communicator. She can nerd out with the most financially savvy folks and assist a first time Home Buyer who has never considered a budget before meeting Karen.
When Karen is not working, she balances her time staying active with the city and rural hikes and riding her bicycle. She has completed the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic, three times. Karen Elizabeth is an active member of the Central East Portland Rotary, and also has volunteered for twenty years as an Apheresis Donor at the Red Cross. She is a 3rd generation blood donor, and this sums up her devotion to her Community. She is also the VP of the Peninsula Optimist club, www.peninsulaoptimistclub.org. Karen has found the best platform that allows her to balance her work and personal life while delivering exceptional results for Consumers finding their way home.
